Director of Housing Choice Voucher Programs, SMHA

Rebecca Valykeo has over 13 years of experience in property management, specializing in Public Housing, Affordable Housing, and Housing Choice Vouchers. Since joining Stark Metropolitan Housing Authority (SMHA) in 2016 as an Asset Manager, she has advanced through several leadership roles and now serves as Director of the Housing Choice Voucher Program, overseeing more than 1,600 active vouchers.

She manages a wide range of programs including HCV, Homeownership, FUP, Mod Rehab, PBV, VASH, Mainstream, TPV, CoC Homeless Programs, and EHV. Rebecca holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and multiple certifications in housing management and compliance.

She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Homeless Continuum of Care of Stark County and lives in North Canton, Ohio, with her two children and three dogs.
